The federal government has declared June 6 and 9 as public holidays to enable the Muslim faithful to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.
“As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Prince of Peace, let us demonstrate kindness and extend goodwill to one another, irrespective of our differences,” said the minister.
He gave assurance that President Muhammadu Buhari was fully committed to peaceful transition of government following successful elections.
“There is (a) need to police the nation against atrocious activities by dangerous elements planning to cause a breakdown of law and order.”
“This is to enable the good people of Ebonyi, who are yet to collect their PVCs.”
