Speaking at a special media briefing on Friday, Mr Wike revealed that the APC flag bearer was offering him a senatorial ticket to join his party.
“The extension was sequel to the resolution of the South-West Governors’ Forum to observe a three-day mourning period, starting from Monday to Wednesday.”
The funeral, was announced in a pamphlet, circulated by the Catholic Diocese of Ondo, on Sunday evening.
“Our neighbours from other parts of the country with whom we have lived together in peace and harmony are not and cannot be the enemy.”
A witness told journalists that the victims were travelling when the abductors accosted and dragged them into the bush to an unknown destination.
The farmers said that they were pleading with the state government to allow them to acquire the land instead of imposing foreigners on the indigenes.
“This is the time the leaders of the party must make a categorical statement, devoid of equivocation, on the pattern of succession.”
The perpetrators of Yahoo-Yahoo in Akeredolu’s class and party also have the security agencies at their beck and call.
“The Judiciary made the highest amount of collection of revenue in the history of Ondo State.”
Mr Akeredolu had earlier noted that the initial withdrawal of the soldiers was an “aberration and an undue security risk.”
