Mr Aiyedatiwa said politicians bribing their way into power was not what Ondo’s founding fathers stood for.
He was a son of the soil, and I have come to pay homage,’’ the President said.
Mr Tinubu’s visit came three months after the demise of Mr Akeredolu.
Eulogising her late husband, Mrs Akeredolu lamented that he left her “alone to face all manners of mockery.”
The bishop told Mr Tinubu that there was “trouble in the land”, noting that time was already behind him.
On Wednesday, Ondo residents and dignitaries paid their last respects to deceased Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
“When Akeredolu was alive, I used to advise and tell him about how life is and also warned him about the people around him,” Paul Akintelure said.
“He was a great achiever and legend who will continue to live in the minds of all of us,” Mr Maikyau said.
The rep member described Aiyedatiwa as a peaceful man who showed he wanted to work with everyone.
Mr Aiyedatiwa gave the charge on Thursday in Akure, shortly after Mr Adelami was sworn in as the new deputy governor.
