Russia has accused the U.S. State Department of unlawfully granting citizenship to children of Russian diplomats born in the United States.
The Czech Republic has been pushing for some time for EU measures to deprive Russian diplomats of their freedom of movement in the Schengen area.
“We will not accept that diplomatic missions were misused for the purposes of carrying out covert intelligence activities,’’ she added.
Germany, France, Italy and other EU countries have recently expelled around 150 Russian diplomats in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
