The 2023 Appropriation Bill was presented before the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari on October 7.
Senator James Manager (PDP-Delta) expressed displeasure over the lateness in presentation of the budget.
“Attempts to substitute candidates who won primary elections for whatever interest is uncalled for, unacceptable and capable of widening the crisis in the party.”
The PASAN chairman said he would communicate the outcome of the meeting to his other colleagues.
The Senate has adjourned sitting till June 7 to enable lawmakers to participate in upcoming political parties primaries.
Senate Leader Yahaya Abdullahi moved a motion to request more time for further legislative work on the report.
According to the sponsor of the bill, it is seeking to enable the country to derive the utmost benefit from the donkey hides export market.
The conference committee will meet with the House of Representatives to come up with a final document to transmit for the president’s assent.
