Former Governor Celestine Omehia has cautioned Senate President Godswill Akpabio and the National Assembly against rushing the passage of the State Police Bill into law.
He said the timely provision of roads and other infrastructure strengthened public confidence in the government and improved residents’ quality of life.
Mr Tambuwal described state police as a critical step toward deepening federalism and addressing the persistent security challenges.
