A government that dislikes accountability and transparency has no interest in curbing corruption among its ranks and files.
On Wednesday, the Senate confirmed Kelechi Ohiri as the director-general of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).

Mr Akpabio also urged senators to use their time in the chamber to engage in respectful debates.
“I drew the attention of the Senate and, of course, Nigerians to the constitutional breach,” said Mr Kawu.
“I felt proud watching the Super Eagles demobilise the Lions.’’
Mr Akpabio expressed optimism that the APC would take over the state in the 2027 general elections.
