The extension followed the adoption of a motion moved by Senate chief whip, Mohammed Monguno (APC- Borno) at plenary on Thursday.
“There is no vacancy in Aso Rock. What is happening today is the handiwork of the opposition,” said Mr Okpebholo.
Mr Ayodele noted that the Senate enacted laws designed to improve governance and promote economic stability.

The Senate on Wednesday approved a new excise duty regime on sugar-sweetened beverages.
