The endorsement was unanimously agreed upon at the party’s meeting of critical stakeholders.
The VP was received by the state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, members of Kwara State Executive Council and other top government functionaries.
Bayo Onanuga, spokesperson for Mr Tinubu, could not be reached for a response to Mr Ndume’s statement.
Mr Akpabio stressed that the relevant security agencies should be invited to brief the national assembly before it could take steps over the allegations.
Mr Ndume had characterised Mr Tinubu’s government as both “kakistocratic” and “kleptocratic,” adding that the president was “caged.”
