Reading the group’s communique after the meeting, Mr Bala said the PDP governors resolved that the party would not join any coalition or merger.
In March, Mr Tinubu announced the suspension of Mr Fubara, a PDP governor, his deputy Ngozi Odu and Rivers House of Assembly members for a six-month period.
“We are confident that his administration will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that Nigeria becomes a better place for all its citizens,” said AKH-TRACADA.
“If we continue this way, we are undermining the future of our democracy,” Mr Obi warned.
The upper legislative chamber’s approval came after the House of Representatives also voted in support of the proclamation.
