Raimi Adebayo’s action contravened Section 97 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, prosecutors said.
The prosecutor, Simon Uche, told the court that the defendant committed the offence sometime in May in the Abule-Osun Area of Ojo.
Mr Uche said the defendant also conducted himself in a manner likely to cause a breach of public peace following his acts.
The defendant was said to have collected the N1.88 million from the complainant under false pretence of helping her to secure a loan.
A 34-year-old microfinance bank staff, Olatunde Olatimehin, has been arraigned in Lagos for allegedly stealing the bank’s N569,225.
The men were each granted N200,000 bail, with two sureties each in like sum.
The defendant was admitted to bail in the sum of N10,000 with two sureties in like sum.
