Senate President Ahmad Lawan announced Mr Ekweremadu’s birthday at the plenary on Tuesday, days after he was jailed for organ trafficking in the UK.
Mr Ajulo described the chronicle of Mr Ekweremadu and his wife as a sad one that left a bitter taste in the mouth.
In a social media post, Ms Ekweremadu admitted that her medical condition was responsible for her parents’ legal battles in the UK.
The court did not immediately say the stringent terms set for Mrs Ekweremadu or when Mr Ekweremadu would be released before adjourning the matter till August 4.
“NDPR prohibits the processing of personal data without the informed consent or other lawful bases known to law.”
Ebonyi information commissioner reiterated that the state government stands with the Ekweremadus at this trying moment.
The Nigerian senator was arraigned on Thursday.
