Thereafter the committee meeting, the Speaker put the motion into a voice vote and the lawmakers unanimously adopted the bill.
He noted that the removal of subsidy affected the country’s economy and made prices of food items go up with 100 per cent increment.
The lawmaker urged the state government to emulate some states that had come up with measures to alleviate the suffering of people.
He lamented that previous administrations did not provide adequate measures to curb the menace of flood on affected victims.

The two members who lost their lives in active service were Okechukwu Okoye and Nnamdi Okafor, who represented Aguata Constituency l and Awka South Constituency l, respectively.
The lawmakers said that the appointment of the special advisers would ensure speedy development of the state.
Mr Nnamani said that despite being elected on different platforms, the zone would speak with one voice and provide block votes.
Mr Okechukwu said Mr Ekweremadu acted based on his limited knowledge of the UK laws, stressing that he must have learnt the bitter lessons.
