Mr Okeke stressed that SON would continue to ensure that locally manufactured and imported products meet the required standards.
Mr Okeke further said that the growth was anticipated by a compound annual growth rate of 5.7 per cent.
Mr Bago added that the SON office would also support the state’s efforts in agro-processing, renewable energy, and small-scale manufacturing.
He said the sensitisation would enhance bakeries’ compliance with both national and international food safety standards.

SON’s director general, Ifeanyi Okeke, said MANCAP is a mandatory product certification scheme to ensure manufacturers deliver quality goods and services.
He also called on all stakeholders to prioritise the implementation of standards in their respective fields.
“This government has taken the bull by the horn by putting in place the P-CNGi.”
FRSC advises NIS officers to abide by the traffic rules, stating that “being an officer does not pronounce professionalism behind the wheel.”
He made it clear that only products that had consistently met the requirements of the relevant standard received MANCAP.
