Mr Okoro-Emegha said on Wednesday at Mbeke–Iahieke in Ebonyi local council when he led a government delegation to inspect projects executed by Nwebonyi.
The party chairman insisted that it would support the state government’s decision on the matter to secure justice for the Igwe family.
Mr Okoro-Emegha stated, ‘‘Thank you for making APC proud and be assured that we are watching.’’
The lawmaker said that he was happy to go back to his roots.
The communal crisis was a spillover of a supremacy battle between supporters of the state APC chairman and a House of Representatives candidate.
The party said the ‘recalcitrant’ members still belonged to the party and would not be discriminated against.
Twenty-seven All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Assembly aspirants in Ebonyi have alleged plans by the screening committee to disqualify them.
“We are told that we have to pay N200,000 as internally generated revenue; N200,000 for local government clearance and another N500,000 for state clearance.”
“The judgement was clearly biased and it’s unacceptable…and will surely be appealed.”
