The sensitisation rally was organised by the state emergency management agency (SEMA) in collaboration with the UNFPA.
Mrs Ahmed said the special intervention was meant to cushion the effects of the disaster on the victims.
The rainstorm on June 30 destroyed over 100 houses in the community, out of which 299 occupants were badly affected.
Mr Goje said the 2023 flood warning came at a time when communities’ vulnerability was high due to the impact of the 2022 flood.
“This is why we are appealing to residents to cooperate with us and stop dumping wastes in drainages or building on waterways.”
