The Jigawa government has approved the recruitment of 1,124 health workers previously engaged as casual workers under its J-Health programme.
The meeting comes after several months of political crisis between Mr Aiyedatiwa and ailing Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
This was part of the decision at the State Advisory Council (SAC) and State Executive Council (SEC) meetings in Ibadan.
“The Makinde-led government has conducted the 2017–2021 promotion exercise as well as approved the 2022 promotion,’’ the commissioner said.
By the order, parties must remain in their positions before Mr Shuaib’s suit was instituted against Mr Obaseki.
The committee members are to strategise on palliatives to help remedy the excruciating effects of fuel subsidy removal on residents of the state.
However, the governor handed over to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in an acting capacity.
All the appointees were members of the recently dissolved State Executive Council (SEC).
The NLC called on other unions, including market women and men to “join us for this fight for survival.”
Medical doctors in the state had already embarked on an indefinite strike over percentage salaries payment.
