The election followed the appointment of Yusuf Tanko-Sununu as Minister of State, Education, by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The government earlier queried the two traditional rulers for violating the state code of conduct for chieftaincy.
The INEC official called for the cooperation of all stakeholders to ensure the conduct of hitch-free elections.
“They have been evacuated from the compound and moved to a friend’s house.’’
Mr Abdulrazaq commended the judiciary for remaining steadfast and resolute in the dispensation of justice.
He said the president was positive about it, adding that he was delighted with what the state was doing.
Mr Hundeyin said the suspect’s accomplices fled.
Beneficiaries would get N25,000 per month for three months.
Police spokesman in the state, ASP Abubakar Aliyu, confirmed the attack on Sunday in Katsina.
He said the arrested suspect had been on the wanted list of both the NDLEA and Nigerian police.
