In a nationwide broadcast on Monday, Mr Tinubu said money saved from subsidy removal will be used for the benefit of citizens.

Most motorists now buy between 10 litres and 20 litres of petrol as against the 30 litres and 50 litres they used to buy.
The community leader said Nigerians had endured so much hardship and that the strike would only inflict more pain on the masses.
Mr Kyari said that the NNPC was working with other federal government agencies to resolve the fuel scarcity and end the long queue at filling stations.
The development followed the pronouncement by President Bola Tinubu during his inaugural address to end the petrol subsidy regime in the country.
Mrs Ahmed said the federal government has gradually removed electricity subsidy and it is working a budget to phase out fuel subsidy regime.
