Mr Abutu urged the public to be law-abiding.
The police said the restriction would take effect from midnight (12:00 a.m.) to 6:00 p.m. and cover both intra-state and inter-state roads within Ekiti.
The police said sustained pressure mounted by security operatives on the kidnappers led to the rescue.
Gunmen on Tuesday night attacked a Christ Apostolic Church in Eda Oniyo Ekiti, Ilejemeje LGA of Ekiti, killing a pastor and kidnapping scores of worshippers.
Mr Abutu said the stampede occurred at about 1:00 a.m. on April 19 at the Emirate Hotel, Ikere-Ekiti.
He assured them that the police remained deeply committed to the welfare of officers and their families.
The command’s spokesman, Sunday Abutu, told journalists that the lady was a worker in the hotel.
The police spokesperson said that the suspect would be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
Mr Abutu said that a cutlass, found with bloodstain, was recovered from the scene of the incident.
The police spokesman in Ekiti, Sunday Abutu, said on Monday in Ado-Ekiti that investigations were on to unravel the actual cause of death.
