The 104-kilometre Kabba-Omuo-Ekiti road is an interstate economic route connecting communities in Kogi and Ekiti states.
This was announced in a statement by the chief press secretary to the governor, Yinka Oyebode, on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti.
The statement noted that the organising committee appreciated the media and the public for their continued support.
He reiterated the present administration’s commitment to providing free, qualitative, and compulsory education for school-age children in the state.
The commissioner said that the government was strategic in solving the ecological issues.
The commissioner said in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday tha the fund is being used to construct new buildings, renovate old ones and erect perimeter fencing.
The governor said more inclusive political landscape would enhance policies that could better reflect the concerns of Nigerians.
Scores of Labour Party (LP) members, including the chairman, in Ekiti defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday at Ado-Ekiti.
