Cabinet Dissolution: Oyebanji recalls information commissioner

Governor Biodun Oyebanji has recalled former commissioner for information, Taiwo Olatunbosun, to the State Executive Council, barely one week after dissolving his cabinet.
This was announced in a statement by the chief press secretary to the governor, Yinka Oyebode, on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti.
Mr Olatunbosun, according to the recall letter signed by the secretary to the state government, Habaibat Adubiaro, dated August 18, is to continue as commissioner for information.
According to him, the recall takes effect immediately.
Mr Oyebanji, in a major shakeup, dissolved the state executive council on August 11, directing commissioners and special advisers to hand over to permanent secretaries or the most senior civil servants in their ministries, departments, and agencies.
At the time of the dissolution, six commissioners, including finance, works, and human capital development, were retained to ensure continuity in critical sectors of government.
The governor had explained during the dissolution that the decision was aimed at injecting fresh energy into governance while also reaffirming his commitment to his “shared prosperity” agenda.
