The offences include illegal parking, traffic obstruction, and dropping or picking of passengers at undesignated bus stops.
The apprehended driver said that his team generated between ₦250,000 and ₦300,000 daily by selling stolen phones and other valuables.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority said it rescued 1,075 lives from road crashes in 2024.
He listed the strategic areas to include Ikoyi, Lekki, Victoria Island and Ajah.
According to him, the accident occurred at Powerline by Cele Bus Stop, Ita-Oluwo, Ikorodu.
LASTMA’s general manager, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, said the accident occurred on Third Mainland Bridge near Ilaje, heading towards Iyana Oworonsoki.
Mr Bakare-Oki sympathised with the bereaved family, expressing regret over the tragic incident.
Mr Adebayo urged commercial and other drivers to comply fully with traffic regulations.
Mr Bakare-Oki said that LASTMA officers responded with remarkable immediacy, orchestrating a comprehensive rescue effort.
Mr Bakare-Oki noted that both the truck driver and his assistant fled the scene.
