The police command in Lagos has ordered the immediate withdrawal of the task force from traffic enforcement duties.
Mr Wahab stated that operatives also dismantled illegal structures on the road setback that had been converted to makeshift dwellings.
Mr Wahab said that the suspect was apprehended on Wednesday, at about 8:30 p.m. following the incident
Mr Gbadeyan said the enforcement was carried out in the Iyana-Iba and Ojo areas along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.
Mr Ajibefun stated that any student caught roaming the streets during school hours would be apprehended and face the necessary sanction.
Mr Akerele said that the agency launched a comprehensive operation targeting recalcitrant motorcycle (Okada) operators.
He explained that UN institutions such as the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and the World Food Programme (WFP) also addressed these issues.
“This act is illegal according to the extant rules and regulations on commercial production,” said NAFDAC.
“This operation is a testament to our unwavering dedication to this cause,” the spokesperson said.
“Two armed corrections personnel who were in the vehicle went after him and, in the process, shot him.”
