According to Mr Abdullahi, last Tuesday, two commanders, four fighters and their 24 family members also surrendered.
Mr Ambali was arrested in Frankfurt, Germany, as he travelled back to Canada from Nigeria.
He said the exercise was carried out to discourage all business activities on rail tracks and prevent obstructions that could hinder the smooth movement of trains.
Mr Abdulraheem said the operation, carried out between Sunday night and Monday morning, was done in response to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s directive.
Mr Jejeloye said the agency had visited the axis several times, but the settlers were adamant and kept returning to sites they were evicted from.
According to him, they admitted to have committed the offences and were convicted to three months’ imprisonment or an option of fines of N5,000, N2,500, and N2,500 each
“For now, we have a lot in our hands but it behoves the offenders to obey the laid down rules,” he said.
The Federal High Court of Nigeria has constituted a special task force of judges to hear and determine all pre-election cases swiftly.
Mr Abdulraheem said that the task force usually gave cover for the land grabbing agency anytime they carried out operations.
The traders said they need more time to put befitting structures at the new land allocated to them by the government.
