Mr Ajiboye said that the project, when completed, would boost power supply in Abuja and environs.
The Transmission Company of Nigeria on Sunday said that it recorded a transmission peak of 5,801.84 megawatts on March 4.
The government urged affected parties to remove any valuables on or before the commencement date.

Ms Mbah said that the lines were initially switched off to enable TCN to energise the new Bauchi substation.
Mr Sharifa state, “TCN reached out to ONSA for the protection of vulnerable transmission lines against vandalism.’’
Mr Tijjani quoted the commandant saying that the protection of TCN infrastructure remains a top national priority.
The TCN official revealed that in July 2024, 20 transmission towers were vandalised along the Ahoada-Yenagoa power line.
