Mr Attah revealed that during the exercise, some arrests were made of people carrying illicit drugs.
An aide of the FCT minister said the aim of the demolition was to clear the area of illegalities and restore approved masterplan.
The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) had earlier warned of plans to remove illegal structures along the Tipper Garage and Kuje-Gwagwalada road axis.
“We are serious about this. All those owing should come forward to settle their debts.”
The minister’s aide said it was unfortunate that people were buying land from IDPs and building on swamps and waterbeds.
