The military stated that the location had long served as holding centres for kidnapped civilians.
Two senior military officers; a major and a lieutenant, were affected in the attack.
“This discovery exposes the scale of terrorist casualties and further discredits terrorist propaganda narratives,” the military said.
Troops of the Operation Hadin Kai have killed over 50 terrorists and repelled multiple coordinated attacks on military locations.
The operations were conducted across Borno and parts of Adamawa between July 4 and 9.
Mr Zulum said the donation was meant to assist the family in purchasing a house since the deceased did not own a house before his untimely death.
“The remaining terrorist ran in disarray, and the troops are in hunt of the remnant terrorist that fled the firefight,” the DHQ said.
“We were eight. They took us to Sambisa, and after one week, they killed the policeman,” said Ms Malu, one of the abducted women.
