The Supreme Court has affirmed the election of Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue.
It added that the appellant lacked the locus standi to challenge the qualification of the deputy governor since he was not part of the party’s primary.
Mr Iortyom faulted the tribunal ruling and hoped the Appellate court would rule in the party’s favour.
The party said it gathered that the governor graced the late Paeke Shepnaan’s remembrance while it is currently challenging his victory at the tribunal.
“The alliance should not be a parasitic type but a mutual one that will be beneficial to all,” added the YPP leader.
“Benue is purely a PDP state and this we will maintain,” said Mr Ortom.
“Uba served as speaker of the Benue assembly for two terms while Ngbede served as a commissioner for eight years…”

The plaintiffs urged the court to compel INEC not to accept, recognise or publish the names of the APC candidates.
Mr Uba scored 731 out of the 851 votes, while the deputy governor, Benson Abounu, placed second with 81 votes.
