Mr Sule said, “To us in Lagos State, the cut-off marks approved by JAMB look too low for our universities.
Mr Sanwo-Olu described the project as an investment in people and the future.
He said the move recognised traditional institutions’ enduring relevance in governance, social cohesion and moral leadership.
Mr Sule said that Lagos state was already reaping the benefits of its investments in robotic science education.
“We have resolved to make the process of accessing this funds less cumbersome,” she said.
The Lagos government says it approved and disbursed N849,555,000 in scholarships and bursaries to 10,066 students in its tertiary institutions.
Mr Obanikoro is son of Musiliu Obanikoro, a former minister of state for defence, while Mr Elegushi is brother to Oba Saheed Elegushi.
