Mr Akinbiyi explained that of the deaths recorded, 146 were males and 46 were females from the 630 accident cases recorded in the year.
Mr Ajibade cautioned motorists, especially truck drivers, against speeding.
“Two passengers died on the spot, a male and a female, while three others were injured, a male and two female, while the 12 other passengers escaped unhurt,” he said.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday.
