The U.S. ambassador to Nigeria, Richard Mills, has announced that bilateral trade between the two countries has increased to approximately $13 billion since last year.
The U.S. government has offered humanitarian assistance to victims of the devastating flooding, which recently occurred in Maiduguri and elsewhere.
He said he had set up a task force to investigate, calling the reported theft a crime against children, the elderly and the disabled.
The U.S. said the money would help train more than 100 Journalists in Ibadan, Enugu, Port Harcourt and Lagos.
Nigeria is expected to have 432,000 tuberculosis cases annually.
