The union’s Public Relations Officer, Steven Iwindoye, made the announcement during a news conference in Lagos on Sunday.

Mr Iwindoye said drivers demand fair compensation for services rendered and safer working conditions for drivers and passengers.
“Let us show these companies that we are not just individual drivers, but a united force that won’t be ignored,” added the statement.
“The driver was forcefully removed from the vehicle and taken to Effizy’s shrine, where he was tied up, gagged and gruesomely murdered.’’
The union expressed dissatisfaction with the conditions of work put in place by platforms like Lagride, Uber, bolt and indriver.
