Justice Nyako invalidated the candidacy of Ikechi Emenike who was earlier recognised by INEC as the party’s candidate for the March 11, 2023 governorship poll.
Dan Eke is urging the court to nullify the results of the parallel primaries organised by two other governorship contestants, Ikechi Emenike and Uche Ogah.
This is Mr Ogah’s third attempt to govern the state, after his first attempt in 2015, and second attempt in 2019.
Uche Ogah is Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, and a two-time Abia governorship candidate under APC.
The junior minister said the mines and solid minerals sector wanted the kind of support the CBN gives the agricultural sector.
