The Nyesom Wike-backed Peoples Democratic Party has reversed the position of the factional national chairman, Umar Damagum, to deputy national chairman (North).
Mr Damagum stated, “We are a party to beat; that is why they are trying to frustrate us.”

While Mr Damagum’s camp fixed its expanded caucus meeting for 1:00 p.m., Mr Arapaja’s group scheduled the NEC meeting for 2:00 p.m., both at the same venue.
Mr Damagum said the decision to return Mr Anyanwu to the party’s National Working Committee, “was a difficult decision.
