The University of Jos is one of the seven universities established by the federal government in 1975.
The group, comprising Christians and Muslims, also set aside February 25 every year as its National Intercession Day.

The demonstration which was held at Unity Fountain, Abuja was led by NANS president, Sunday Asefon.
“The purpose of the gathering is to provide a spiritual shield…for Governor Bello, who is God’s anointed choice to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.”
It is a known fact that the Right to Assemble is a Fundamental Human Right of every Nigerian citizen, guaranteed by the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended.
The labour union called the strike action to protest the legislature’s bill to remove its power from negotiating minimum wages.
