The Cross River State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party said it will resist any imposition of the state working committee members by the national working committee
Mr Ikem stated that the PDP in Cross River State at this time was a place for people with conviction and courage to serve the party.
The party had been embroiled in the issue of retaining the state working committee, led by Mr Ikem.
Mr Ekpo said that the party condemned the resolution of the meeting of the faction loyal to Mr Wike held in Abuja.
Mr Ikem said that he bore no grudge against anybody for his suspension.
They met with the reinstated chairman, Venatius Ikem, at Agom-Jarigbe’s residence in Ogoja on Friday.
The protesters, who stormed the PDP secretariat in Calabar, were from wards and local government chapters.
Mr Ikem was removed on Friday on the allegation of financial misappropriation, high-handedness, and ineptitude by the party’s State Working Committee.
Meanwhile, Mr Ikem has denied the allegations against him, saying that the process of his alleged removal was faulty.
In a statement, the chairman of the PDP in Cross River, Venatius Ikem, said instead of 90 days notice for election, the state electoral umpire gave 30 days.
