Mr Boum II said Africa CDC is working with countries to prioritise cholera hotspots.
Between January 1 and June 11, 96 local government areas in 30 states reported cases of cholera outbreak.

Lagos and several other states across Nigeria have reported a spike in cholera cases, marking one of the most severe outbreaks in recent history.
The health ministry said it would continue to provide updates in collaboration with NCDC as the situation evolves.
The state legislators unanimously called on the state government to enforce stringent measures to curb the disease.
