She added that the remaining 60 per cent, which is for infrastructural interventions, would commence soon.

This appeal was made during the launch of the WASH Sector-wide Sustainability Checks Action Plan and Sustainability Compact in Abuja.
Ms Bevan emphasised UNICEF’s dedication to enhancing WASH systems and institutional practices and eliminating open defecation nationwide.
Ms Khan said that for Nigeria to achieve the roadmap for the WASH sector, the funding gaps must be closed.
