Mr Campbell was arrested after a standoff in which he was observed armed and partially concealed. He had been on the U.S. Marshals Most Wanted List for over 40 years.
“I have a poultry farm and was told that if I feed the chickens with Indian hemp seeds, they would grow fast and strong, and would not fall sick.”
Other items found on the suspect include 12 bottles of codeine, 14 sachets of tramadol, seven wraps of weeds, “Skunk’’ and 65 tablets of “Happy mood’’ drugs.
The suspects said they were contracted to transport the drugs from Ondo to Yola.
The videos shared online showed a section of the market in flames as some people in the area destroyed the police vehicle.
The convict pleaded guilty to being in possession of dried leaves suspected to be cannabis and public nuisance.
“We need not be told of the nexus between drug use, crime and criminalities.”
