Tanzania’s Prime Minister, Mwigulu Nchemba, will headline the first-ever Tanzania Investment Forum 2026 in London on October 8 to create an avenue where the Tanzanian government can meet with potential investors.

As a keynote speaker, Mr Nchemba will outline the economic opportunities in Tanzania to woo foreign investors who will be in attendance. His mission was to create strong partnerships with the private sector to advance the Development 2050 vision.

He hoped the partnering cut across many sectors including mining and agriculture to create jobs for the masses.

“Investment is not only about capital. It is about creating jobs, building industries, transferring technology, strengthening local value chains, increasing exports and transforming lives,” the prime minister said Monday.

The High Commission of Tanzania in the UK partnered with NMB Bank Plc and Invest Africa to host the event.

“The Prime Minister’s participation in the Tanzania Investment Forum is a significant moment for Tanzania’s engagement with the international investment community,” Chantelé Carrington, chief executive of Invest Africa, said. “Bringing the country’s highest levels of government together with investors, financial institutions and businesses creates a unique opportunity to have a direct conversation about Tanzania’s ambitions, priorities and investment opportunities.”
