Tems wins two out of three BET Awards categories

Singer, songwriter and producer Temilade Openiyi popularly known as Tems, wins big at the 2022 BET Awards, winning two out of the three categories she was nominated in.
The BET awards ceremony was held on Sunday at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.
Terms won the ‘Best International Act’ category.
“Thank you so much for this, thank you so much. It’s an honour… I mean, this is my first award show that I’m winning something and I just want to use this as an opportunity to speak to every single young, old,” said Tems. “Whatever, every single woman watching this, every single girl watching this at home. Where I’m from, things like this don’t happen.”
The ‘Try me’ star also won the best collaboration award alongside Wizkid and Justin Beiber.
However, she lost to American rapper Latto in the ‘Best New Artist’ category.
