Terry G, Portable collaborate in new single

Controversial street pop artiste Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has teamed up with veteran street pop singer and rapper, Gabriel Oche Amanyi, professionally known as Terry G, to deliver a new single which music fans on social media are eagerly awaiting its release.
Although the title and the release date for the song are yet to be announced, the collaboration is a significant one in the Nigerian music scene given the ‘crazy music genre’ and the distinct street-accepted style of music the duo are known for in the industry.
On multiple occasions, there have been social media debates on who the better street artiste is between the duo in which Portable, who rose to fame in 2020 with ‘ZaZoo Zehh’ featuring Olamide dancer Poco Lee, had found himself being compared to Terry G.
While responding during one of those debates sometime ago, Terry G, who is well known for his signature bell jingling sound, and has been in the music industry for more than a decade said he loves Portable but insisted that there is no attribute possessed by the ’ZaZoo Zehh’ crooner “musically and intellectually” that can be compared to his.
“It is a good thing. I love Portable so much. Despite the fact that I did the ‘crazy genre’ of music, it does not mean that somebody else cannot be inspired and still unique. He is quite unique,” the 37-year-old said. “There is nothing he has that can be compared to mine, musically and intellectually.”
“I feel nobody should shut him out. He cannot be stopped. If he stops talking, what else will happen? That is his style. It (controversies) did not just start from me. It started with different guys that represented the streets, and it will still continue. It is normal.”
