Those planning to rig elections in 2027 will be resisted by Nigerians, Obi warns

Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra and Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate for 2027, has warned that election riggers will face vehement resistance in the forthcoming presidential election.
Mr Obi issued the stern warning to election riggers while speaking at a town hall meeting in Port Harcourt on Thursday.
“Our vote this time must count, and whoever doesn’t count it, we will count the person,” Mr Obi said, “enough of this nonsense.”
The NDC presidential candidate said he and his running mate were out to engage with the electorate, adding that anybody who wants to lead Nigeria must engage and speak with the people.
“Let whoever wants to be anything come out and speak to us. That’s what Rabiu Kwankwaso and I will do this afternoon.
“We want to listen to you. We want to answer your questions. We want to know what you expect from us. Leadership cannot be outsourced,” Mr Obi said.
