Three arraigned over alleged N3 million theft

Three persons working at Fabik Event Centre, Asolo area of Ibadan, Oyo State, were on Wednesday arraigned before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan over an alleged N3 million theft.

The trio Muyiwa Samson, 25, Romoke Tiwaloye, 29 and Adijat Olamilekan, 29, were charged with conspiracy and theft, to which they pleaded not guilty.

The Prosecutor, ASP Omolade Adetule, told the court that the defendants committed the offences in 2025, at the aforementioned event centre.

Ms Adetule alleged that the defendants stole the sum of N3 million, being proceeds from the hall rent, belonging to the centre. 

She said the offences contravened provisions of Sections 390(9) and 516 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The Magistrate, Olasinmibo Sanusi, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N200, 000 each with two sureties each in like sum.

She adjourned the case until May 19, for hearing. (NAN)
