Three killed as truck plunges into Lagos lagoon

Rescue workers have pulled three adult bodies from a river in Lagos after a truck lost control and tipped off.
Emergency officials said the semi-articulated truck plunged into Julius Berger Bridge in Epe on Saturday morning. It was bearing sand to a construction site when the accident happened, Peoples Gazette understands.
It was not immediately clear whether there were any survivors. A joint rescue operation involving the police and emergency officials is underway, the Gazette learnt.
