Three suspects nabbed over killing of naval officer in Ondo

Three suspects have been nabbed for allegedly killing a naval officer identified as Akingbagbohun, at Idoani, in Ose Local Council Area of Ondo.
The suspects were nabbed at different locations on Wednesday and handed over to the police by residents of the community.
Peoples Gazette had reported how the naval officer was attacked on his way out of the community by suspected armed thugs.
Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, police spokeswoman in Ondo, confirmed the arrest of the suspects in a brief phone chat with reporters in Akure.
Mrs Odunlami- Omisanya said the suspects had been moved to the headquarters of the state’s police command in Akure, Ondo’s capital city, for further investigation.
She, however, added that detectives are on the trail of other suspects who had been identified by residents of the community.
“The three have been arrested and our men are still on the trail of others who are involved in the incident,” the police image maker added.
