Nentawe Yilwatda, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, says the  party is reviewing preparations for its convention and congresses to ensure inclusivity.

Mr Yilwatda said this on Thursday after meeting President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. He said the meeting reviewed the party’s timetable and planning activities as well as synergy among all arms of government.

According to him, the goal is to ensure alignment between the party, the National Assembly, the federal government and sub-national governments.

“It was just a brief meeting to review the preparation for the convention and the congresses and the synergy between all arms of government,” said Mr Yilwatda.

Mr Yilwatda said the APC was expanding daily, with new members and governors joining the party. He said the party was determined to carry everyone along as it grew, and ensure nobody was left behind.

The APC chairman said Mr Tinubu’s political experience and advice were key to sustaining the party’s expansion.

He described the president as a shrewd politician whose counsel was “remarkable”.

The national convention of the party is scheduled for March 25 to March 28.
