President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to the former finance minister, Kemi Adeosun, over the passing of her husband, Adeniyi Adeosun.

Mr Adeosun died on Wednesday at 62 in Lagos.

A statement issued by the presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, said Mr Tinubu “condoles with the Adeosun family, friends and business associates over the loss”.

The president urged comfort in the legacies of steadfast faith, community service and charity that the devout Christian left behind.

He also noted the outpouring of testimonies on the deceased’s life, particularly his works and dedication to supporting the less privileged.

“The president prays that the almighty God will grant the former minister and the Adeosun family strength and comfort at this very difficult time, and grant the deceased eternal rest,” the statement added.
