President Tinubu has named three additional ministerial nominees and sent their names to the Senate for confirmation.

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, read the letter from the President requesting the confirmation of three more ministerial nominees.

The names selected by the president include Jamila Bio Ibrahim from Kwara state, Balarebe Abbas Lawal from Kaduna state and Olawale Olawande from Ondo state.

The names have been sent to the Senate for screening and confirmation.

The Senate, in August 2023, screened and confirmed a total of 45 ministerial nominees while rejecting three nominations.

The most notable of the rejected nominees is former Kaduna state governor, Nasir El Rufai, who was not confirmed.
